Romans 5
V3-4: "Not only so, but we also rejoice in our sufferings, because we know that suffering produces perseverance; perseverance, character; and character, hope."
I guess it says it plainly that we have to go through sufferings in his name to understand what hope is. Tough to hear, but it is what it is and it is worth it.
We have hope because of the gift of the Holy Spirit.
As death entered the world through one man, it leaves with one man.
We were once enemies of God, but through Jesus' death, we are his beloved children.
