God cries

Isaiah 52

This passage broke my heart.

It shows how God is crying out to us and long for us to be with him for our own good.

All this time, from the beginning of Isaiah, it was leaving an impression of how vindictive or vengeful, which ever the case might be, that God was just out to destroy with no ifs ands or buts.

And how appropriate it is ending with the prophecy of Jesus.

To God be the Glory.

"For this is what the Sovereign LORD says:
"At first my people went down to Egypt to live;
lately, Assyria has oppressed them.

"And now what do I have here?" declares the LORD.
"For my people have been taken away for nothing,
and those who rule them mock, "
declares the LORD.
"And all day long
my name is constantly blasphemed."
